Well yes there is CCTV around apparently but not all CCTV is equal . If you are in your car and you happen to innocently stray into a bus lane they get a photo of you which is good enough to use on your passport . If you decide to rob someone in the street all you see is a blur ...and usually they are masked up.

I had an altercation in my car on the south side of Blackfriars Bridge . I reported it to the police and they said there were no cameras on the bridge or along the whole of Blackfriars Road. When I chased it up the officer told me that none of the cameras installed by the Met after the last terrorist attack were operational because Khan and the Met cant decide who is responsible for them . My case was dropped because they had no CCTV evidence. Are you getting my drift ?

Maybe thats why after every crime the police are on the lookout for any film from the public , phones , cars and doorbell cameras !

So forgive me if I am slightly skeptical about your claims of widespread CCTV.

PS I'm sure if you were mayor you would make sure the cameras were on !!
