Ive been flying for a fair few miles and I'm 100% certain they always used to bring you water in cups . Mind you this was before the "water frenzy" which managed to persuade everyone that they had to drink at last 2 litres a day and preferably from plastic bottles regardless of the impact to the planet ...now that would be an interesting story Jack ? even today, Waitrose is the only supermarket that sells water in glass bottles.

As they force you to buy water in whatever form after you go through security, it is much cheaper to take a net of Satsumas, which quench thirst and provide a sugar boost during the flight. I gave up on the airline meals many years ago when I decided I was better off having a meal before I boarded. Even AirFrance meals had no taste whatsoever.
